The Melancholic Irony of Lil Gat’s Joyful Music

Everyone has their own way of finding happiness, even if the person themselves may not be happy. A sad soul happens to find its way through music and music itself has different sounds leaning on how artists’ desire to deliver their messages. Some opt for a more livelier approach, while others dive deeper in the sea of emotion and Lil Gats have set his heart on the latter. He discovered how to profess his despair in making songs which are now listed in music platforms.

Scars to be inspired with

Lil Gats have always been appreciative of art and its different shapes. But there was just a time when a spark ignited a connection between him and the music of his favourite artists. That brought him a realisation that making songs was the form of art he wanted to make a living with.

“…there was no way I couldn’t make this my passion.”

Among those artists that he got most connected with was Lil Peep. Though Lil Peep left the earth at the early age of 21, Lil Gats was a living proof of his musical legacy. Right now, he is sharing their intangible yet empathetic message for each other which he is expressing to his music. The core reason for that is Lil Gats’ story was comparable to Lil Peeps — gloomy, sad, lonely. It’s just that for Lil Gats, a blood family was never included in his vocabulary. Even now, he has grown up making his own family he could call. But just as melancholic as dramas are, he was always left alone.

“I’ve only ever known abandonment and or betrayal from every person I’ve ever known.. family.. friends.. and for sure ex’s.”

Who would have thought that a sound as joyful as a nice drive late at night is actually talking about the dark, cloudy and cold moments of a young man?

His latest song entitled “End it All” is a wrap between his past relationships and how it left a deep wound to his trust from someone he was deeply in love with. As for now, he is working on a few singles to release before an album.

Pursuit of happiness

It could be scary to come up and talk to someone you don’t know, especially if that person is different from you. But, Lil Gats welcomed himself to anyone who needs an ear to listen. Still his shell shows happiness because he actually wanted people to see his sunshine and spread it to anyone he comes across with despite the storms he kept within his inner realm.

“Spread happiness.”

And for anyone who would try to know him, he expressed a concern when it comes to the people they choose to be with and the things they choose to do that will later hurt them.

“You’re an angel, beware of those who collect feathers… and also, the day you plant the seed, is not the day you eat the fruit.”
